Christmas Memories

Christmas Day was fabulous with my brother Robert and nephew Daniel, we spent the morning opening presents then I prepared the ingredients for the nut roast I was cooking which contained onions, garlic, red pepper, parsley, 5 types of nuts, tomato puree, paprika, celery, oregano, lentils, vegetable stock, breadcrumbs, eggs, cheese and parsley… Mmmm it is making me hungry just thinking about it; it was my first attempt and I was really pleased with the way it turned out…

In the afternoon we popped round to see my niece Rhiannon with her Christmas gifts, she stays with her mum at her Granny’s on Christmas eve, now, I never knew what was going to happen next, instead of the usual 5-10-minute visit we ended up staying 3 hours… The dry Christmas I had planned went right out of the window as Rhiannon’s Granny is an ex pub landlord and kept topping the boys glasses up (I was sober as somebody had to drive). The whole holiday was splendid and I can’t wait to do it again… Bring on next year!
