Porthleven Escape

Had the opportunity to go on a 4 day retreat to Porthleven last week, so glad I did as the place is tranquil, the locals all friendly and accommodating.

I got there fairly late on Sunday evening after a 7 hour drive from my London home, I was greeted by Anne and Thea who were wanting to hear about my journey down; dinner was ready to be served but we were still waiting for Thurston, Thea’s partner, while we waited we had some wine and very nice it was too. Not long after Thurston arrived but not feeling very well but we sat and had dinner and plenty of conversation about my plans for my 4 days, I hadn’t really planned anything I just wanted to relax and see what came to me.

My first day was Monday:

I went with Anne to a local Pilates class in the morning it was in a local hall, the class was run by a very nice lady called Sarah Hardy  a lovely supple lady, the class was the beginners and I thoroughly enjoyed it, she had an intermedia class the next morning and I also attended that class too even though it was harder it was very good for me. From the Pilate’s we went for a walk, the weather was fairly mild and not to cold so it was nice to walk along the front, we popped into a small ice-cream parlour that also did breakfast and a lunch time menu the place was call Nauti But Ice.

Later we went to visit Thea and I met her two handsome boys Tigger and Freddy, a couple of very friendly cats.
